About HTMMA PA

If you have a child at HTMMA, then you are a member of the Parent Association, and we want to hear from you! Parent Association meetings are the third Wednesday of the month at 8:30 a.m. at the school; we don't charge dues. Please feel free to join us then for discussion of important issues affecting the school and to give us your input on ways you think the school can improve.

The primary purpose of the Parent Association is "to engage in activities that promote leadership and assistance to HTMMA, to encourage member participation in school activities, to facilitate communication between the school and students and their families, and to provide fund-raising support, as well as to promote the recognition of all schools within High Tech High village in the community" (Bylaws 1).

We organize several restaurant fundraisers; a truly magical Family Fall Festival, and will plan grade-level get-togethers for all three grades. We have hard-working team parents in place for all the classrooms. We also provide dinner for teachers and staff on Back-to-School Night and Media Night.

One of our main campaigns is eScrip. The site is www.escrip.com, and the main contributor is Vons grocery stores. If you don't know your Vons club card number, call (877) 723-3929 to find out. They also offer an Online Mall that does not require you to sign up with eScrip to earn money for our school. Just visit the Fundraising page of this website and click "Online Mall" before you shop!

HTMMA Fundraisers and On-Going Opportunities to Help:

  • Click the eScrip Online Mall logo below to ensure HTMMA benefits from your online shopping. 2-12% of what you spend is automatically donated to our school! No need to register or sign in, just click the link below and start shopping!

  • eScrip - costs you nothing and is the best way to earn free money for our school! Stores like VONS, Keil's and Macy's give a percentage of the money you spend back to HTMMA (or up to three different schools you designate). Go to www.escrip.com and register your Vons club card and credit cards. If you don't know your number, call Vons' toll-free number (877) 723-3929. Summer time spending during VONS Back-to-School campaign gives a huge boost, so it's never too late to register!

  • Annual Appeal The best way to support HTH schools is to donate directly to the HTH Foundation. You can give specifically to HTMMA, or any combination of HTH schools. Your money goes directly to fund infrastructure, programs, and teachers. A recurring donation is one easy and pain-free way to give; even a small amount adds up over a year. Additionally, many employers will match your donation so please ask at work! Your financial commitment helps the Foundation show parent participation when applying for grants and corporate gifts. Any amount, no matter how small, counts for much more than the dollar amount when it's given to the Foundation... click here for more information and the online donation form.
