September Notes:

We hope the school year is going well and thank all the parents for their continued support of the HTMMA Parent Association!  We look forward to working with you this year and welcome your participation! 

Upcoming events:
Parent Association Meeting 8:45am
Join is in HTMMA's conference room to learn about PA plans for the 2014/15 school year and find out ways for you to connect and support our students, staff, and families!

Fall Festival Family Fun!  4:00pm
FALL FEST is on Friday, Oct. 24th from 4:00-7:00PM.

This is a fun-filled family, community-building event for all ages!  Please RSVP early so that we can get an accurate food count. PLEASE fill out your order form and save $$$ by ordering your tickets before October 10th!  Order forms can also be found by Miss Tianna's desk.

Teacher Wish List:
In support of our students and teachers, the PA has asked the teachers for a WISH LIST to help them get the needed supplies for their classrooms.  

Please note that these items are not required but would be greatly appreciated by our teachers!
We are still in great need of parent volunteers to make our new lunch program a success! , Please remember that we believe, and research supports, the idea that students perform better academically, socially, physically, and emotionally when they eat a nutritious diet. Volunteering just two hours a month will help our children, and our school, attain our goals!
Here is what we need, and the requirements:
* Please volunteer for 2 shifts a month; more if possible!
* One shift is from 12:45 PM to 1:30 PM , on a regular school day.
* Two volunteers are required every regular school day.
* Please contact Jayme Zepeda at ASAP!
* All volunteers must attain a County of San Diego Food Handlers Card within 30 day of the start date (card needed after 9/25)  It's fast and easy!

Front Page News 

June 6th, 6:00 P.M. - New Parent Orientation Meeting
Welcome class of 2015/2016!  Please join us for the new parent orientation meeting this Thursday evening at 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. to learn more about High Tech Middle Media Arts and meet with next year's teaching teams!

June 7th, 8:30 A.M. - Parent Association Meeting

Please join us as we discuss 8th grade promotion and begin planning our PA activities/positions for the 2013/2014 school year!
We are looking for new volunteers to fill in some very important positions, including:
· Volunteer Coordinator: Primary responsibilities will be to create a volunteer master list and help contact/coordinate volunteers for various events such as jog-a-thon, promotion, etc. This is a position requiring follow-though that can be done primarily through e-mail/phone contact, and will not require a lot of presence at school.
· Jog-a-thon Chair

· Movie Night Coordinator
